Yeah, I would know, it genuinely fucking sucks to have feelings for someone and they don't reciprocate.

I had feelings for someone for well over a year and tried and tried to get them to date me, which never ended up happening. I got my hopes up because of how much he flirted with me and on occasion would seem interested in me as more than friends.

It was exceptionally foolish to try to be more than friends with him for a plethora of reasons, but ultimately, the way I felt was on me. I respected him regardless, so I still saw him as a decent person and friend. My romantic feelings for him weren't his fault, nor should he be made to feel guilty for not catching feels.

If you genuinely respect someone, you respect their autonomy and choices - not all of which are gonna involve you. If you don't respect someone in that sense, you shouldn't be chasing after them to begin with.

You are NOT entitled to a relationship with someone because you have feelings - that's on you.

Hey that story also reminds me of a time I saw a 60 year old man slide down one of those things and his bathing suit fell off and I just stood there and stared at his big beautiful hairy balls flopping around. Holy geez I wanted to lick em

This reminds me of the time I had feelings.

Somebody stepped on them. And for the final finish, they were spit on.

Fuck feelings. Fuck them right in the feels

"Listen, Morty, I hate to break it to you but what people call love is just a chemical reaction that compels animals to breed. It hits hard, Morty, then it slowly fades, leaving you stranded in a failing marriage. I did it. Your parents are gonna do it. Break the cycle, Morty. Rise above. Focus on science." --Rick Sanchez
