They'll run the Odyssey run during the scheduled setup block rather than pushing FF 6 back. Right now looking like FF6 will start in 3 1/2 hours. Not sure when the cutoff for 100% will be

Speedrunning the best FF is weird, the encounter rate is really high in that game for one. And are they playing with broke Evasion on SNES but og art or something else? You don't need to grind much but that may be because the game throws so many encounters at you, that factory pre WoR with the magicite is a nightmare for example

Run itself was great and worth watching if you haven't watched Odyssey Speedruns in a while or at all.

why would that be a controversy tho? id say its actually smart to bring notes with you to do live commentary. it helps keep things organized and keeps you on track. im pretty sure the runner for Amy also brought notes and used them during the run.

The entire thing was scripted. They would go on paragraphs word-by-word, off a phone, and it just made the jokes they made cringey. When they talked about the game itself, it was fine, notes should be used, but the way they did it was just way overdone.

Use a notecard, read your bullet points, but in an informal setting like this, don't read off a script, people want "real" people.
