i've been to disneyland paris so i'm really not bothered about going to the one in LA. it just depends on what my friends want to do. but either way i'd rather go universal

lmk if you find any deals online tho, i couldn't find any

how many days are you looking to do disney, & are you really into it or just looking to check it off a list of things to do in southern california?

because unless you're going for multiple days or are some kind of disney super fan id probably just get tickets to the magic kingdom or whatever the fuck its called, see the main sights there, go to downtown disney for dinner/a drink (thats free to get into), and then do something else. there's lots of breweries and stuff like that in anaheim, you can go to universal, head to huntington beach (my personal favorite), etc.

disneyland is kind of lame in comparison to disneyworld (which i think is lame but for a different reason). if you arent super into it then i'd go just to see the big sights in the magic kingdom and then book it to universal, since that will top anything in california adventure or epcot in CA.

Universal Studios is nice in that you can prolly do everything in one day and it's relatively cheap compared to Disneyland and most other theme parks. However, most rides are just 3D rumble sit downs. Good for the first experience I guess.

i like that you can do everything in one day, most of the experiences look fun and i'm not out for heavy rollercoasters anyway

i'm leaning to universal

Unless they've significantly improved since I went there, Universal isn't worth it. Disney is pretty cool though.

With that being said, "since I went there" is something like 20 years, so there's a very good chance they have improved.

It's nice for sightseeing and stuff and if you're into the movies but like I said most rides are just sit down in a chair that rumbles while you look at a 3D screen. But I guess the main attraction is that it's half~ the price of Disneyland and that you can pretty much do everything in one day (6ish hours if your time management is good) whereas you can't really do that with Disneyland with the long ass lines.

The Mummy ride is pretty cool. It's like their rendition of Disneyland's Space Mountain so I would definitely recommend that. And there was one other ride that was kinda like Indiana Jones. Unfortunately we didn't have time to do Jurassic Park.

i'd say universal since disneyland isn't really close to where you're probably going to be (it's technically not even in LA), and universal is slightly cheaper and more centralized and close to stuff. don't get me wrong tho, disneyland is dope and can be done in one day if you go from open to close. definitely would need two days if you're going to california adventure.

for deals, i think it's cheaper to buy tix online than at the gate. also, they do peak (weekends) and non peak days (most weekdays), so plan accordingly for that as well.

im gonna echo that disneyland fucking sucks if you arent really into it or going for multiple days. its hella expensive and literally every attraction has 3+ hour wait lines. go to universal instead.
