It is, though I never played any of the Biohazard games. A lot of people have said similar things. Hell, there are Silent Hill maps too.

So was RE2.

And yeah, L4D2 is a good game on its own, but the modding community for it has done some insane work. You should check out Silent Hill: Other Side of Life, and Absolute Zero as well TC.
