On a preliminary view here are potential team set ups I can see based on the names of the group and who we have up / their state

The Ditch Party
Dismas
Cata
Maria
Abom
Kidd(?)

I feel this group is going to deal more with more spore esque stuff and have a higher concentration of traps and "surprise" dangers. Dismas Cata and Abom have good synergy (with Dismas being a good assist and Abom being the muscle). Maria here will be the spotter / intelligence person to help them on that front due to the knowledge she gained (really I can see Maria going anywhere as the smarts person given she's gotten info on the spore stuff and the fish stuff if I recall correctly?)

I can also see Kidd going with them too along with Moth dunno which unless he wants to go with more char synergy

[2 strong, 1 slightly weak, 1 injured (though for Maria being injured doesn't really matter since she won't be fighting ideally)]

This group is most likely going to deal with tankier things (either like those bugs or it may potentially be more aquatic based enemies like the fish guys only tankier now making use of shields or potential lobster people)

Leone is the spotter. He can pick out weaknesses that Aaron can exploit with his lance
Torin is the leader. He will inspire people like Jen into action
Jen gets benefits from Leone and Torin. She may also get the club that was dropped this entry by Fah which will be useful against hardy enemies vulnerable to blunt damage

This group will be dealing with psychic stuff obviously and possibly aerial enemies

Punch and Owen are the vanguard obviously
Zephyr is the spotter. He tracked based on scent which seemed useful against insectoid enemies
Kidd and Matsuda are range based

They should go as a unit and I can really see them go anywhere together

Fakeru's sandals may be useful in the ditch and her luck and support may be helpful for shell party
Jamison's trinket may be helpful for moth party as well as in any group
though they may have more synergy with Jen and Aaron in shell group after what happened at inn

also forgot to mention Torin may be able to inspire Jamison as well given how he acted at the Inn so they may be good with Shell Party as well especially due to have two weakened people and just having higher general synergy based on the potential set up

Maria is the only real pure intelligence build left, especially with Goetic being sucked into the void. Although arguably she is the only pure one that existed in the game at all. So yeah this makes her somewhat a high value target.

Jamison is probably the best back-up for a party that wants Maria but doesn't get her. He seems to have solid experience but somewhat lower intelligence in favor of having some combat ability. And it's been shown that if forced to think quickly he panics and might not reach the best conclusion. Maria's most valuable quality shown so far is that she remained totally calm while in life threatening danger.

That leaves Kidd, Zephyr, and Leone as the remaining hybrid builds with a decent mix of utility and combat. Kidd is the more combat focused, Leone is the more intelligence focused, while Zeph is like the balanced one between the two.

I was going to join whoever needed it most, but the groups seem pretty even.

Would prefer Ditch or Shell since those teams don't have any range (I think?) Also I'm wondering if guns are good against shelled enemies. Piercing damage, so...maybe?

Dismas is ranged

From what I can tell Shell doesn't have a range based offensive guy currently (I dunno about what Enoch will be carrying or what Torrin uses). Not sure on how effective he will be there but who knows (if shell makes them akin to the insect guys then his range combat may not be as useful but his melee might help though he is not as equipped for it).

Kidd is in a weird spot at this point where I could see him in different groups for different reasons (based on my own speculation of what the dangers for each group will entail as well as the people within those groups)

If Ditch does indeed deal with more spore esque stuff Kidd seemed to have an idea on how to exploit them, however I don't see him getting along with Maria. Dunno how he'll be with Dismas

With Shell Party Kidd has more people he is familiar with / sympathizes with and adds a potential range character into these ranks if they are necessary (again not sure how effective unless Leone's spotting will help). Dunno how he'll get along with Torin though (I don't see him pissing him off as much as Maria would but this is just speculation).

Finally with Moth Party he may also have people he knows (if Fah and Jamison end up going here) and range may be effective (though I am currently guessing that range may be more effective against psychic opponents). However, assuming Jamison ends up going here, this group already has 3 range attackers (Jamison, Zephyr, Matsuda...though Jamison and Zephyr are probably on the lower end of range effectiveness maybe?)

Kidd is also capable of melee combat due to also being a brawler so this opens up uses for him on that front for all groups as well. He has a very high assist rate so far but he is also injured

Right now if drak and maniac didn't decide anything on their own, I'd put Jamison in the Shell Party and Kidd in the moth party, or maybe the ditch party. Mostly for comedy reasons.

I liked the idea of having a 4/6/6 balance too which is why I'd give consideration to leaving the Ditch Party as it is now. Makes it feel like the Ditch Party is a smaller and more covert group compared to the others.
