1) They very clearly stated up front this game isn't suitable for children or those who are easily disturbed.

Nothing even remotely close to this happens anywhere in the game, so already we know the son, father, or both are full of shit.

Ahh, I just looked at the wikipedia article on it. So it is in fact a horror game, masquarading as a cutsie dating sim. That's actually very interesting! It makes me want to possibly try it out, when I would have just ignored it.

But yeah this father is nuts. I mean it's a graphic horror story. One of millions. It probably shouldn't be played by people under 17 to begin with.

Here's the crux of it all:

'Ben was intelligent and funny with a great sense of humour. He was a gent, loving and caring. We just want to find out why and at the moment, it's all pointing to this game.'

Translation for those unfamiliar with grieving: The parents feel tremendous guilt for not noticing their child was suffering and are looking for an external "uncontrollable" cause to shoulder the blame. People don't commit suicide because of video games. People commit suicide because they have experienced intense emotional pain for a prolonged period.

There were signs they could have noticed but didn't. Maybe even his ideation of the game was one of them. The game was not the cause though, his pain was.
