My mother who I live with and depend on for food and shelter. But just because of that she think she has the right to tell me what I can do with the property I paid for (ok she paid for some of it) that I haven't touched in years that's just sitting around collecting dust.

I disagree. Being met with backlash isn't really allowing someone to 'flex their pride' in this case. I'm also not convinced that every time someone is a jerk, they are just looking for attention. I think more often than not, they think they are being funny and take some sort of pleasure in being rude to others.

This is true. When I was younger my parents told me not to sell two games just for a little bit of money. Once I had the money in my hand and got into the car I immediately regretted my decision.

I rely on her for more tha n you know. As an individual with Aspergers it's hard for me to get and hold down a job. I need a job coach and a employer capable of seeing I might need help and won't fire me for doing things differently then they want. That s why I get a 100 dollar monthly stipend to help me get by without one. Also I don't drive so I rely on others to get me places. I have a helper who drives me places but he is bound to whatever my mom tells him so if she tells him not to let me sell my stuff I'm screwed because he could just not drive me to the mall if he feels I'm not obeying my mom's orders. And I love my mom and I don't want her to be upset with me. Idk you guys who live on tour own independantly probably don't understand :(

Wait a few days until this selling games argument blows over. She may forget about it. Then when your helper picks you up next time bring some things with you (your games) and have him bring you to the game store but dont mention anything about the games or why you want to go. Just act like nothing is happening out of the ordinary

have you considered using ebay to sell stuff? it's very easy to use, the customer pays for shipping, and you'll make considerably more money than if you traded them into Gamestop. I made a couple hundred bucks selling old games on there and used the money to buy a new phone

You might get even less money at a yard sale than you'd get at Gamestop, though. In my experience yard sales attracts extreme bargain seekers that don't want to pay much.

Personally, I'd sell them online some way, but I know that might be tough for TC to organize unless he does a local pickup thing.
