I was talking to someone who recently went on a vacation out west to a big city and they mentioned that they ate at an Applebees out there.

I thought everyone Yelped local places when they went on vacation?

I'm going to Shake Shack this weekend, but that's different because we don't have them here.

Food is an extremely over-rated commodity. Just because a restaurant is "local" doesn't make it good. Chain restaurants are successful for having consistently good food and being consistently clean. The service is always better, too. Large corporations have much higher standards than Joey Ding Dong's Burgers because everyone who works at Joey Ding Dong's is related to Joey Ding Dong.
