Was never taught how to shave, my dad gave me his electric razor which is all I ever used, never got any smoother than a 3-4 day old stubble.

After college I bought a shavette, never got good enough to shave consistently well with it (it's considered the most difficult method of shaving)

Finally caved in and bought a DE safety razor, with preshave oil this baby glides, practicing WTG->XTG->ATG, still have to practice with my jawline but I'm not nicking myself anymore

I'm assuming experience leads to perfection, people say it takes 100 shaves to get truly comfortable with any new method

Another decade or so and you'll just not give a shit anymore. Get a Remington or Norelco and never look back.

I still nick my upper cheeks (underneath the eyes) all the time because the skin is looser up there.

I usually have a beard so I dont shave anything other than that area and my neck very often

I should go.

Good cheekbones are one of the best facial features you can have as a guy. Dont sell yourself short.
