This is my opinion but I believe the current cigarette should be illegal due to the junk it has inside which cause harm to the user smoking and harming the people around them. The worst thing is that cigarette has nicotine which cause addiction, meaning it makes it harder for the person to quit.

Keep in mind I said current cigarette due to how bad it is for people and harms whether they smoke or dont smoke.

If smoking can change the ingredients and even what the cigarette is made of or come up with something that is beneficial to the body with no junk and no secret addiction, then no one would be against smoking.

Imagine if smoking cause the body and the air to be cleansed instead of contaminating it then that would be excellent.

E-Cigarette still has nicotine and cause health problem with no benefit.

Did you read my post properly? I am against current smoking which harms the body, but if new cigarette exist which does the opposite and benefits the body no one would be against it.

I dont mind if the person harms himself, but why must other body get harmed due to other people choice?

I used to have asthma and smoking was allowed indoors including restaurant, I hated eating in restaurant due to smoking causing me to get asthma attack. I couldnt do anything since it was legal.

No offense but I really dont think a public smoking ban can be taken too seriously. Those are obviously fairly hard to enforce.

Its a very local (as in, by city) issue in my state. There are restaurants in some cities which still have smoking sections. And they are actual sit down restaurants, not pubs etc.

if want to see an end to smoking it all starts with our future children if they don't pick up a smoke at any age (all of em) i'm sure it will bankrupt those company's in 50 years.

What about the idea of creating healthy smoking which cleanse and improve the body along with the air and ban the harmful cigarette? What this healthy smoking would be called no idea.

This way people who likes smoking can continue and it will improve themselves along with the air.

Obviously no junk ingredient inside it.

Cigarette now = harms self, air and other people.
Healthy Smoking = improve one body, air and other people.

Businesses should be able to decide whether they want smoking or not and I should be able to decide what I want in my body.

I am not asking for smoking to be banned, read my post. I am saying to make cigarette illegal which harms other and the user and make something new with benefits.

If smoking has health benefits with no junk inside, what reason would I have to be against it.

If a company makes something which harms the user and other people around them then that is bad.

Smoking with the benefit to cleanse the body and other long with the air would be excellent. Heck there wouldnt need any ban.

Edit I hate walking down the down, eating outdoor, beach, etc and have to smell those cigarette which is harmful.

29 years old, keep in mind different country means different laws. 8 years ago it was when indoor smoking became illegal in my country meaning around 2010 or 2011 cant remember exactly.

I am aware of smog factories, cars, junk chemicals in food, animals artificial diet and homo injection, etc. If I have to list everything bad it would be long.

I am not against people smoking, but I am against of the junk cigarette being sold. Junk cigarette should be banned and replace with something beneficial.

Second hand smoking can be more harmful than smoking physically.

How would that be impossible? You want to know how I got this idea about healthy smoke I tell you.

I go to Taichi class and we do this healing class. My Taichi Master brings wood from India and spices and the room fills up with smoke by burning it in fire. We breathe the smoke while doing meditation.

I thought if smoke can be cleansing for the body, why cant that idea be put into people who smokes.

I can assure you I am not trolling.

There are time I am waiting in the bus shelter waiting for the bus, yet people enter and starts smoking despite the bus shelter saying no smoking allowed inside. This is bad when the weather is raining.

Why should the none smoker go out of the bus shelter when we do no harm, while the smoker does harm.

There are time a smokers comes near to non smoker. What we non smoker have to walk away and avoid smokers.

What about the beach we set our umbrella and someone who some set their umbrella near us and smoke, what we have to move everytime a smoker comes near.

See why should smokers get the freedom to smoke, when that freedom harms others.

Eating outdoors in restaurant what we going to move tables everytime a smokers smokes near?

Edit there are many time when a smoker smokes the smoke goes to other people.

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to make smoking beneficial. There's things like fake cigarettes that are purely herbal. On paper(or in; pun intended), the contents seem harmless. However the act of burning most vegetation produces carbon, tar, etc which is bad to breath in.

Don't quote me on that though. I just did a Google search

it won't. government loves the tax money they get from it too much.

they say raising prices is to discourage smoking but deep down it's nothing but drug dealer tactics where they know addicts will still buy it regardless.

if they make it illegal then its the black market that will be selling it and people will still be getting their product but government doesn't get their cut.

and tbf, the whole idea of people getting arrested and thrown in prison for selling and distributing cigarettes is ridiculous.

You're completely right. Some things do less harm (for example, you could have a massive bowl of salvia divinorum, and the direct harm would be less than one small puff on a cigarette), but pretty much anything you inhale that isn't air or steam is going to be doing you harm to some extent.
