The 2D sprites mixed with the 3D environments makes it look like a cheap indie game, and personally I think its a horrible art style (its a shame the world isn't 2D). With an AAA game I know that in six months for a year I will be able to get the game for cheap. With a title like Octopath it's more of a gamble, especially for the physical copy.
