On the leash. The guy is on the far right of the bike trail and the dog is on the far left.

There is an almost invisible tether in between them, so when you go to pass on your bike, the owner panics and jerks the dog across the lane.

I just dont understand why people cannot follow the rules. You ALWAYS keep right and you ALWAYS leave the ENTIRE left lane open for traffic to pass

Selfish dipshits take up both lanes and act belligerent when somebody gets a *little* bit irritated. I had to scream and call somebody a fucking dipshit today for letting his dog wander in front of my bike and made my slam on my brakes.

These fucking weekenders come or every Saturday and Sunday and completely act like the bike trail is their personal backyard and that the rules apply to everybody except for them.

Do you have a touring bike or a mountain bike?

Ive got a hybrid road/mountain bike. It looks more like a kind of sporty mountain bike, but it eats up pavement. I can also go off-road if I want to, but I try not to because I have bad luck with tires.

My town has some really nice paved trails, which are intended for everybody to share. Simple rules like keep to the right and leave room for others to pass. Dont get on the middle line and wobble around, etc.

People routinely walk four abreast, completely blind to the fact that people are trying to pass on the left (from behind them). Heres the thing: I shouldnt HAVE to slow down, downshift, and burn up my legs to wait for some dumbass who doesnt understand that a bell means to get the fuck out of the way. Simply put, there should never be anybody in the left lane unless theyre coming toward me.

Ill just ride that bell. Ring, ring, ring, ring until they move. If I had a dollar for every time some asshole made me come to a near complete stop to pass, I could buy a new bike. Ive actually had to shoulder check people out of the way before for coming in my lane in blind corners. Like, I knocked the shit out of this one guy for trying to use both lanes to slice through a corner.

i'm always worried when i have to bring my dog out and other dogs are off the leash :(. every day i just hope a dog doesn't come up to mine i don't know how it will react (i don't think it has problems with smaller breeds) but the bigger ones not so much.

a few years back I was going down a tunnel on my bike. a person was walking in the middle. had two dark dogs in the shadows, one on the left wall, one by the right wall and the leash in between

nearly fucked my self up, but stopped right before. And the the guy yelled at me over it, because obviusly, somehow I'm in the wrong

Honestly, I would have had to fight myself from hitting that guy if he talked shit. I probably would have spat in his face or something.

Yeah I dont bike on the road and I understand the difference between left and right, so theres really no comparison.
