Oh fuck. I guess I should look up these status effects. I had a bunch of people under amnesia but it wasn't doing anything so I just said fuck it. I know disease means you can't use vitality at the end of the battle.

Well, I'm glad I checked here so I wouldn't spend time gaining no exp!

Yeah, Amnesia sucks. If you go back to the Claiborne area, the Dryads there have a chance to drop Memo Pens in chests after the battle when you fight them on foot. Memo Pen Gear negates Amnesia.

Oh ok. I have a couple of memo pens. I should use them to cancel that out.

If I equip one, can I take it off and still have the item?

No, Gear is destroyed when removed from a Medium

They're really not that hard to farm though, you can always go back and snag more. Just don't remove gear you have no way of obtaining more of.

A guide can help with this, look up enemies in your current and previous areas and see what they drop.

You're getting closer to acquiring a Medium that will let it's user start Stealing too, which will help with getting Gear and precious Berries. Some enemies carry Gear but it doesn't drop in a chest, it can only be stolen.

Have you been finding the things that increase your migrant level? The game'll be more difficult if you don't. :P

Ambushes are bad. Being singled out is worse. It'll start happening later on - battle starts with just one party member alone against the enemy. After 1-2 turns IIRC the rest of the party will finally arrive to reinforce you, but depending on who gets singled out by what enemies it can get hairy staying alive those few turns.

I just started replaying FFVII before this topic but I am so going to replay WA3 next. First Wild Arms game I played, definitely one of my favourite JRPGs

I found one seal, but I haven't seen any more.

I finally beat the second boss in the Lunatic Garden. He had a shit ton of HP and I didn't have any items so Clive and Gallows had no means of using magic throughout the battle lol.

There's a migrant seal hidden in Jolly Roger, but I forget the rest. There's also some type of thing (I think it increases the amount of crystals you can hold) at Ka Dingel. Sometimes you can find seals on the world map, too.

Alright, I went back and now I'm at migrant level 4. I just beat the knockoff power rangers 3 times in a row and then I had to call it a night.

Played on my PS4 today and it looked great.

I beat the Eyeball boss twice in Glittering Emblem. I'm starting to get more Guardians/Mediums so that's cool.

I upgraded a bunch of ARMS so now Clive has 4 bullets. Jet continues to be the fucking MVP with crits.

I hated the Gobs more. Go Gob-to-Gob reduces the targets HP to the current HP of the attacking Gob, eats up your Vitality after battle.

In the area around Glittering Emblem you can search the coast and find Doomed to Obscurity, Jet's intro dungeon. Now that Gallows has the Steady Doll you can use it to get the chest Jet couldn't reach because the floor collapsed at the beginning of the dungeon. It contains another Migrant Seal.

I think I have all the Migrant Seals and Booster Kits (5 ML / 20 ECN) at the point where I'm at. Yeah, I used a guide to go back and get all the seals/kits. So, now I'm about to head to the Laboratory as soon as I get back on the game.

Leyline Observatory will finally begin to shed light on a few things going on in the story. Read every book and computer you find.

Search the row of lockers in one of the rooms on the first floor to get a very handy tool for Jet, Radar. It will highlight items in whatever room you're in, both in chests and hidden in barrels/crates/other objects

Yeah, the only one that matters is Adult Mag in Leyline Observatory

Come to think of it, the sidequest it's for rewards you with an EX File Key, which is only good for two things: after beating the game, they'll let you view all versions of the load game animations, and if you find all of them, enable New Game+. So unless you care about those then I might not even waste a Duplicator on that book either.

I'll end up doing that side quest because I think there's a trophy involved and I want to get the platinum trophy.

Be prepared for that. One of the EX File Keys requires you to clear the Abyss - a 100 floor dungeon where falling off the edge sends you back to the first floor. At the bottom you fight the godamn nightmare of an optional boss Ragu O Ragla. And when you try to leave after clearing the 100th floor, Ragu O Ragla will again confront you as you try to leave the first floor.

This will be my first proper JRPG plat since 2014 with Tales of Xillia. It'll be a struggle but this game is too fucking good not to go for the plat.

The only sad thing is games won't be as epic as this once I'm done :(

ragu o ragla will be lot easier if you set fire immune to whole party.

BTW, 100 floor dungeon is not as hard as it sounds. Get 20 migrant seal to cancel all encounters and you can save anywhere with using the save coin(forgot what it's called)

Gimel Coin

It's more tedious test of endurance than anything.

There are I think three bosses as you reach certain floors that you can't skip

And yes, having Fire Ring Gear maxed out on everyone will nullify Ragu's most devastating attack.

I'm pretty sure the bosses on the way down all use elemental magic too that you can gain ways to resist. Diligently farming Gear throughout the game and moving Skill Points around your Gear effects when necessary will greatly help with more challenging enemies like these.

The first time I played I went after Ragu with no Fire Rings.

It did not go well.

Heh. Malik is creepy.

I assume you're going to the Luck Shrine next? The medium there will let you start Stealing from enemies.

The area around it contains the Diobarg encounter. Ride around on horses until it attacks you, destroy it's ass for 15 Dragon Fossils which you'll need soon.

His best attack, Paralyzing Punch won't even do anything because you can't be paralyzed while fighting on horseback.

There's a glitch that can occur on horseback in all versions. IIRC, it has something to do with force cancelling, so try to avoid that (shouldn't be difficult).

Yup, I just did Fortune Gear. Fought Janus for the umpteenth time lol.

I did go back and get the radar from the observatory because I missed it. I have level 6 migrant level and I was trying to fight Diobarg but I ran out of vitality before he would show up. I'm going to go back and try again in the morning.

Diobarg only appears while you're on horseback, IIRC. Plus, he's a pushover, so it's not a massive boss fight you have to prepare for. Did you find the millennium puzzle by Fortune Gear?

Yeah, I just fought him this morning after finally finding him. I was on horseback but kept finding small fry. He gave me 15K gella and 7200 exp!

And I was able to do the first puzzle after I beat him and talked to the train guy again. On to the next dungeon!

IIRC every enemy can now drop Dragon Fossils now that you have the Sandcraft. Use them to max out your main gun ASAP. Put the character with the highest RFX in the Gunner position. You should now be able to attack first in battle. They look scary but most enemies will eat shit in one volley if you choose Fire All Ammo for the main gun, and once the cannon is maxed there's really not much that will still be standing after a full barrage from the Ark Smasher. IIRC even the supposedly mighty Balal Quo Naga went down in one volley because I went after him with the Ark Smasher cannon my first playthrough

Experiment and have some fun aside from the "I win" button that is dumping all your ammo. You can hook enemies with a harpoon to debuffs their EVA, reel them in closer to increase your damage, and fire off flares to try and blind then flank the enemy

Hey, you should do the Secret Garden about now if you're feeling up to it. L 25 minimum like I said. Go back to Jolly Roger, jump the crevice you see to I think the north with horses as you head back to Baskar Colony. The Secret Garden is at one end of the forest, the dungeon she sends you to is at the opposite end.

Once completed, you can give up berries, carrots, and other plant items to her to grow and improve the harvest of those items, which cannot be bought anywhere else. Trying to steal from every one and fighting enemies on foot instead of horseback for chest drops will aid in getting more of them for yourself and to give to her in the garden.

And as you should always be doing, keep Analyzing new enemies and going for easy kills with Elemental magic when you can for gems to harvest Gella by selling them
