Anakin started as a normal dumb kid who was a slave in Episode 1 yet was still a decent person.

Anakin is a whiny arrogant teenager who has no social skills(jedi raised since he was 9) and horny as hell(normal at that age).

Anakin is a badass war hero who is concerned for his family and is best friends with his master after growing up and maturing. Makes poor choices to try and save his wife, falls to the darkside, becomes "half the man" he used to be.

Sure it was not the best journey and could have been done better but ROTS Anakin redeemed him in the PT and he became the legendary asthmatic Dark Lord of The Sith.

This guy does try getting jedi wisdom but it ends up being be happy she is about to die, dont miss the person. After that his friend the chancellor says he can help prevent said death but hes the dude who Anakins been trying to stop.

Poor decisions were made but he did try getting good help before turning to Palpatine, marriage being against the jedi code makes it even more difficult for him to get help but yeah hes just a whiny bitch.

Yet star wars fanboys are hands down the worse fanbase of any pop culture, so they ruined the chance of us getting anything unique anymore outside of the anthology movies (which they ruined too because theyre still buttmad)

give me a flawed but different movie over a safe but boring rehash like TFA anyday of the week

I'm ambivalent on this news. I believe he can be Lando again, and I'm sure he'll do fine (even though he really doesn't look like Lando these days). I'm just not sure what the ST needs is more nostalgia characters. It just shows that Lucasfilm isn't confident the new cast can hold a movie on their own.

Then again, this will probably work fine for the casuals. I just hope his role is kept to a minimum so they can actually focus on resolving the story for the main cast.

That's verbatim words in a post. There are people out there absolutely content with stagnation, completely ignoring the fact that stagnation was what let the franchise to reduce to almost nothing in the early 2010s.

Han filled Obi-Wan's role exactly in episode 7

Luke's body was consumed by the force after he saved the day using an unprecedented force power

if your biggest qualm with the movie is "people die in it" then I don't know what to tell you other than "never watch Game of Thrones"
