I'm considered a millenial and I saw all of the 90's stuff. So I react by saying "hey, you must be about the same age as me to like some of the same stuff as me"

No I mean kids, like 4-12ish or whatever. The kind that are clearly too young to have watched TV in the 90's, and someone in their 20's is acting like their mind is blown because of it.

Do people only have memories of television shows? Pretty sad childhood if you ask me.

Most kids will probably just be confused and not know what you're on about.

Kind of like when they talk about some new trend to you. Hatchimals or whatever for example.

Those kids are not millennials. Millennials were born between the mid to late 80s up to 2000. Most are reaching their 30s by now.

Makes sense.

People are always jumping down my throat about my living under a rock.

Like the time I asked what Uber was or what "Dilly dilly" means.

Yes, and he's saying what do kids (not millennials) think of millennials (those alive in that time frame) reacting to stuff of their own generation. >.>

What kind of person talks to a toddler or elementary school kid about shows like Pete and Pete. I can just imagine some 30 year old neckbeard walking into Mcdonalds to get a 20 piece mcnugget value meal and sitting down next to some 5 year old eating a happy meal and being like Hey whats your favorite episode of Doug and then acting all flabbergasted when the kid has no idea who Doug is.

I only remember one episode of Pete and Pete, and that was the one where the parents go out of town and little Pete ends up selling the house lol.

But that's not the point of the topic. It could be Hey Arnold or Salute your Shorts or Catdog or whatever.

Most kids are into their own shows and junk unless they're actually shown stuff. Some teens (13-14, I've talked to in game lobbies) are shown 90's stuff growing up and know a lot of shows or whatever.

Not quite the same as experiencing it as a cultural thing.
