I've lost 29 pounds by just counting calories and working out so far, but if IF would help me lose more I'd like to try it out. Just don't want to jump into anything that might mess up what I have going already.

Sounds like you just don't eat till a certain hour of the day?

I have no idea, but if you've found something that IS working for you I'd stick with that.

There was a topic about it two weeks ago and i got bashed like i always do on the site.

For a lot of people fasting long time screws up the thyroid and the metabolism, so if you want to experiment its on you, just because you lose weight it doesnt mean your body is in good shape. Its similar to keto, some people can eat steak and eggs for 20 years everyday and they can live until 90, other people do it for 2 months and they end up feeling like death for a long time.

From April till now. Been about a pound a week. I'd like to lose faster if I can though. :o

Nice. What do you do for exercise? Hows the diet looking? I lost 15 pounds eating as terrible as I do, but at a deficit. Now I cleaned up my diet and Im hoping to lose even more. I got like 30 pounds left I wanna lose

I do cardio and some weight exercises. I eat 1800 a day. I think maintaining the deficit is the most important thing, since I still eat a lot of crap. >.> I just do it in moderation.

At worst it'll be a dieting tool to make sure you don't go over your caloric intake and to stay full longer.

Intermittent fasting is a legitimate weight loss and weight control strategy, but it will not be for everybody. What it does is help control your bodies blood sugar/insulin levels in a much more stable pattern, preventing spikes and drops that can result in metabolism fluctuations, energy fluctuations, and perceived hunger.

IF can be a little hard at first for some people until they settle into the habit, but it is usually fairly rewarding in terms of weight control.

Keto diet also works well based off similar biomechanical principles with a different approach--Reducing carbohydrates which tend to have a far greater impact on stuff like insulin levels compared to fats and proteins.
