I didn't have much to buy. I mostly just bought games then. Didn't buy many books each year at all, or VHS tapes (this was a while ago, obviously), and so on. I did occasionally buy a lots of clothes in one go, but like I just said, not often.

I saved over half of that each year, which is just as well, because it helped take me through the recession, which basically lasted for 7 or 8 years in the UK.
