i went to school with a kid who had a whole army of people helping him out - reading exams to him, writing all his notes in lessons, helping him 1 to 1 and all he would do is disrupt every lesson i was in, he was a real dickhead who still couldn't read at 16, then he went on to sign a semi professional contract (don't know how he managed to sign his signature) and ended up earning $53,000 / year. aged 16. couldn't read/write.

For example, second biggest earner on Juventus has 7.5mil net and he will probably be sold to reduce the wage bill.

The reason they do this is because people will pay out the ass to come see him play even if he doesn't win. It's not a question as to whether or not they'll make their money back with him. He doesn't even have to win for them to make the money back, but they'll get more if he wins obviously.

I'd love to see a bunch of high-paid sports players, from various games and leagues, pledge to keep maybe 200k or 300k of their yearly salary for themselves, and put the rest in to something actually worthwhile.
