the site is a cult, just like neogaf was. theres a topic right now about a guy saying his wife is cheating on him and he said they havent been intimate in years and they fight a lot and shes talked about divorce and once he found out about her cheating he acted shocked. little do these idiots on the website know that the topic is most likely fake and hes making fun of stupid real life men who are oblivious to their slut wives and demonizing women because he wants to make women look bad.

or maybe the topic isnt fake and this guy is the stereotypical loser who lets the women do whatever she wants and has no respect for him and is just with him for the money.

Took a look at that site and it looks like one big social board as games are not separated at all. Seems hard to use.

It was posted to Reddit, but the person who posted it was not being genuine. The post itself was a parody of how the poster perceived the firing of Jessica Price to be, and the poster themselves explained it as such.

But of course here comes Jason "big boobs are lolicon" Schreier posting it as though that is an actual sentiment by the community and not something that was heavily downvoted and scorned. That is extremely dishonest reporting, and, dare I say it, fake news.

That place is a guilty pleasure of mine, they're a special kind of insane over there. There are a lot of normal people on that site, it's just ruled with an iron fist of very far left-leaning people. You have to be of the opinion of white men are the worst, women are always right, Republican views = automatic every bad word in the dictionary, and mentions of "personal responsibility" is the greatest sin of all, or else you're usually silenced.

Instead he aggressively critiqued her and made her a target for all sorts of harassment and got her fired from her job. Now every woman in the game's industry will think twice before sharing their thoughts.

IIRC it became a thing when the admin for Neogaf was exposed for having child pornography. So the majority of the groupthink members shifted to ResetEra.

The lesson to take from these events isn't "omg, the poor woman might encounter divergent opinions" but rather "as a representative of a company you should be respectful and professional towards customers; if you have a problem with a customer you don't verbally berate them, if the situation feels like it's more than you can handle you instead refer to a manager and/or HR".

No, not quite. It was after Tyler Malka, the owner of NeoGAF, was accused of sexually assaulting/harassing a woman in New Orleans. The most progressive members of the moderator staff and posters went on to start ResetEra.

There was a moderator, amirox, on NeoGAF who was found to be a pedophile with child porn. But it didn't kill the site.

Apparently there were topics on NeoGAF that included posters and mods who were sympathetic to pedophiles though.
