I have to take roughly 120 credit-hours for my degree (major in physics, minor in astronomy), and my AP classes exempt me from roughly 20 credits. How many credit hours (considering either a dual major in math or a minor in history or political science) can I take before I either have no social life or am so swamped with classwork that I just can't keep up with it?

I think the most I took was 14 but I liked to be lazy. Took five full years for a double major in CS and Math.

14-16. Never take more than 18. biggest reason to not take more than 18 is because you get charged over 18 credits in most cases. 21-24 credits would be reasonable for like business majors if they want to get done early and are reasonably smart. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Depends on how your school functions, because I've been in Community College where the majority of the classes were 4 units, so 4 classes at most there. At the 2 universities I've been to, majority of the classes are 3 units, so 5-6 classes at most. The reason not to take more than 18 units is because most universities charge extra tuition for it.

14-16. 5 classes at most. Yeah thats what I always shot for with my schedules For a science major, if you have lighter semesters, try to get an undergraduate research assistant position with a professor who does research relevant to your interests (these usually arent paid but award elective credits towards your major, and look great on a resume or graduate school application) ... 12 is full time, so anything over that is normally fine.
Would never do anything over 18 though, especially later on into your degree. Probably wouldnt be too bad early on with your GERs, but it all depends on your course load, your work ethic, and your work schedule. --- https://imgur.com/jWVrg9U https://imgur.com/g2efUtT https://imgur.com/5dOwhaP https://imgur.com/LVdqu8J Go Cougs and M's #DI4B ...
