Start to finish too. Didn't have that season 1 problem that some of the MCU Netflix shows suffer from where it feels like one part of the story is tacked on to make it to episode 13 (Luke and Claire's road trip in season 1, or the bomber in the Punisher).

There were a lot of good scenes that they let breath where we got character development and some quality ass acting. Bushmaster was awesome. Shades & Mariah grew so damn much from Season 1. The cameo episode for that other MCU show was great and highlighted what that character should be. The action was fun. Even Misty who I was lukewarm on in season 1 and downright annoyed with in the Defenders turned around. The ending was unexpected as hell, but super intriguing.

Real good stuff. Punisher, Jessica Jones Season 2 and now this seem to be getting the MCU Netflix shows back on the right track. Hopefully it continues with the next seasons of Daredevil and Iron Fist.

Yeah even though the movies will never acknowledge them.

I thought season 1 was not nearly as bad as people said and a ton of the bad reviews and ridiculously low scores came from people crying cultural appropriation.

It had problems for sure and Danny was not a very likable protagonist (he borderline had the mind of a child, but that made sense considering his upbringing away from society), but I think the biggest problem is out of the way now, that being the villains. (or maybe the writing staff which was hopefully changed)

Danny's more grounded now. He's not nearly as clueless, so I'm skeptically optimistic for season 2. Gotta get better fight choreography though. Daredevil puts it to shame.

I and pretty much everyone from what I've seen seem to agree that the first half of season 1 is real good, but once Cottonmouth gets removed it falls off a cliff. Diamondback is just one dimensional and basically a cartoonist villain. Really brought the whole thing down.

well, yeah. it started good but got boring fast for me. I was literally struggling to finish the rest of the show. if I wasn't interested in seeing the later seasons, plus the fact that all these series tie in together, I would have dropped it

season 2 didn't have that problem at all. I finished the whole thing in like 2 or 3 days, only taking breaks cause life made me

There's like 3 episodes after he fights Bushmaster on the bridge where the story has damn near no direction and feels very tacked on. As fun as it was to have a buddy episode with Danny. Luke getting his mojo back was essentially a waste of time.

It suffers from the exact same problems as most of those shows.

For me it was kinda the inverse of Season 1. Where Season 1 died off midway through, Season 2 didn't pick up until the halfway point and then got much better.

Totally disagree.

The very next episode they wrap up the whole Piranha story, Shades kills his best friend for snitching, Luke and his father finally bond and Bushmaster burns down Mariah's house.

I don't think I ever felt like a single episode was wasted or uneventful. Stuff always happened and it wasn't ever anything meaningless that didn't impact the main plot in a big way.
