TL;DR - Queen always, always wears a brooch of significance when visiting/receiving guests. Usually it's a mark of honour to the guest or something celebrating the historical relationship. The meaningful brooch thing is a big deal, she's been doing it for like 60+ years. So when Trump visited, she wore a purely friendship brooch gifted by the Obamas. Not even a brooch of political significance that celebrates the American relationship. Just a plain little friendship brooch they gave her that's not even supposed to be for state visits. (Plus some other subtle brooch related digs the following days).

Also Trump was 12 minutes late for tea. Wtf.

I just read that Trump said the Queen inspected the Guard of Honour for the first time in 70 years because of his visit. Apparently she does it multiple times a year for any head of state.
