Wtf is taking Nintendo so long to announce HD remaster?

Is it still owned by koei tecmo? I thought it would be owned by namdai since they were the publishers for the last two, prior to tecmo going to Nintendo.

Or do I have that wrong?

...then again we're getting tales of vesperia 10 years later for xbone and ps4 so if it is owned by namdai we have good chances of maybe getting it one day.

As someone who has played through all of Xenosaga, unless they retroactively make 1 and 2 more like 3, it would be an unbearable slog.

I dunno man, I love 1 as much as 3. I played through 1 then 2 immediately after. Disliked 2 strongly but still wanted to know what happens story wise. Then 3 when it came out. Then years later I bought all 3. Beat 1 and loved it again. Got partially through 2 and threw in the towel. Then repeated that process a year later. I will force myself through 2 for HD remaster tho.

I would say Xenosaga 2 is my most dissapointing game of all time. Im just happy they still made a 3, but it makes me sad thinking what could have been if they actually made 6 episodes like they planned.

I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I thought the battle system in 1 was intolerably boring the second time around. At least 2 had something to do, with knocking enemies up and down for bonus damage.

3 had the best one with the break system and battles weren't a slog.

2 was a definite improvement when it came to the mech combat stuff and 3 further improved on it.

I loved the combat in 1. Simple but fun. 2 I found intolerable. The stock system and all the up and down nonsense made even small battles take forever and most the time you are building stock. Absolutely hated it. The mech combat in 2 was actually quite good and a huge improvement from 1.

3 was the best combat easily. They nailed it.

2 had ES battles and levels which worked well and was perfected in 3. The break system in 2 though, if you didn't remember the combo tutorial from the beginning? You couldn't go back and read up on it so it could make beating the last few bosses hell because they can stock 3 boost gauges and limit you to one round of actually dealing full damage after you break a foe which is where you're supposed to have used the combo attacks as a finished and boost to avoid the penalty to turn counts by having the one who didn't tag team heal or apply buffs (meaning momo or shion).
