Good chance? There's no way he can lose.

- Incumbent President
- No opposition from within his own party
- Full and unconditional support from his base (the majority of America)
- Its almost 2019 and any serious contenders should have started raising funds already
- Stable economy
- Low unemployment
- People equate Dems with liberals and liberals in America are effing nuts. No matter how insane the GOP is somehow, someway... Dems find ways to make them look OK in comparison. They did Bernie too wrong in 2016. California is letting unregistered people vote in some local elections. Trying to censor and jail people with dissenting views (check out some threads on CE any day of the week).

The net affect is any moderate is going to either waste a vote or not vote at all. So, status quo will remain in effect. That's how politics work.

As sad as this is, hes not wrong.

He's demonstrably wrong about point 3 and 4.

There's slightly more Dems than Reps. Undecided outnumbers both.

Rep party is almost a solid voting block
Dem party is split along ideological issues right now, destroying their 2% advantage

Rep party only needs to convince about half the undecided voters that the economy is good. As long as the voter turn out is low like last time, there's no way they don't win by about 5% as things stand right now. That's just the numbers talking. There would need to be a major shift for things to be different.

Of course he does, the left already shit their pants once strategy-wise so they surely can do it again. Add to that the fact that Liberals did absolutely zero self-evaluation after Trump won and instantly resorted to name calling and hissy fits and you have a recipe for Trump to win again. Even if you believe you're completely in the right when has personal attacks ever caused the other side to change their mind? Stupidity by the left gives Trump a great chance.

Worth noting that personal attacks and name calling helped Trump significantly

Sure it did when he attacked his competition, but how did Hilary's deplorable comment go over?

yea i think he can win.

mainly because he's a celebrity. news follows him vigorously. that attention spells TRUMP when it matters at the election no matter who he's against. maybe voters like the way the government is now. maybe the majority voters in key states will keep Trump in office.

a person going up against Trump would have the same attention and transparency. Can a typical politician handle such that kind of attention? opponents are setting up their political leader now. media portrays that person better... does it prove the media is one sided? that's what's gonna happen. a huge smear campaign to question sources of your information. we are told half the story anyways.

the POTUS after Trump is gonna be suddenly private and filtered through the office. perhaps maybe too mechanical. is that the next president that's going to lead the country?

I honestly dont think they stand a chance in 2020. They have even thought about who to run. Their only platform is to try to slander him.

There is no need to slander Trump. He does a much better job slandering himself.

They've already done a 540 on the Russia thing and jumped right up Trumps arse so I really don't know at this point. They will just blindly follow him like lemmings at this point, after a one day spat of calling him a traitor, so the democrats will need a very good candidate to actually not horribly lose to a blind cult.

Democrats absolutely stand a chance on that platform. I dont think thats optimal, but there are enough people that irrationally hate Trump that its a plausible path to the presidency.
