I'm in between getting a Mazda 3 and a Civic, but the difference is sorta coming down to info-tainment. Mazda 3 doesn't have Carplay, and the Civic does.

Part of me doesn't really care either way. I've used my phone all along while driving (such danger wow) and I don't really mind keeping it this way. But to be able to pull up navigation on a big screen in front of me would be pretty sweet. And using Spotify and stuff while keeping my phone chilling.

Anyone here use it (or Android Auto) and feel it's definitely worth it? Nice to have? Pointless?

I love my Mazda 3 but the infotainment setup does feel a bit lackluster. It would be nice to have something that paired with my phone's interface more directly.

For me it's not a dealbreaker since I still have Bluetooth/USB/AUX for music and built in GPS if needed.

My wife just got a new Kia with Apple Carplay. It's pretty sweet except for the fact Apple doesn't allow you to use 3rd party nav apps (ie Waze, Google Maps). In theory Apple is doing away with this limitation with their next update but I bet it will require a new phone purchase to work.

Yeah connecting via bluetooth shouldn't really be a problem. Also I kinda have to because I need to charge my phone in the car and the Mazda USB ports don't charge lol. So I'll have to use an auxiliary system which is fine.

I actually don't really mind Apple Maps. For the most part it's solid.
