Superman when it comes to the "no killing" thing? Without nerds losing their minds over it anyway. Like, what's wrong with a Bruce Wayne that is psychologically damaged by the death of his parents and now uses Batman to purge the streets? One with rage issues and all the shit that comes having your parents murdered in front of you?

Or a Superman that gets fed up with the pain and suffering evil people inflict on the world, and so decides to just get rid of them.

one of the things that makes Batman is his steadfast, almost psychotic, adherence to his "no-kill" rule

Or a Superman that gets fed up with the pain and suffering evil people inflict on the world, and so decides to just get rid of them.

Keaton Batman was more indirect, but its still odd that he outfitted his vehicles with lethal weaponry. Batfleck is more what TC is looking for. He just doesnt give a shit.

Not at all. Batman is an idea. An idea to inflict fear on those that prey on the weak. Why can't he be a bit unhinged? It makes no sense that someone with that kind of psychological trauma would be all goody goody when it comes to murderers and other scum.

it has been even in the comics. they had an event recently where a bunch of evil Batmen from other universes attacked. and the leader is called The Batman Who Laughs. and he is basically a batman that turned into Joker. and he's a mass murderer

He literally drove into the middle of Joker's hideout, and gunned down and blew it up with a whole bunch of henchmen still inside. The was as direct as you can get

As a nerd, Batman is a guy who lost both of his parents at a young age and fought crime so that something like that, if he could help it, wouldn't happen again. Also he dresses like a bat. Anything else is up to the writer.

It's why I grew to appreciate the George Clooney Batman as an updated Adam West lol not as good but still. Same reason I love Dark Knight Returns Batman and Brave and the bold. Same reason I have a hard time accepting how much I relate to Lego Batman...and that's not a good thing.

Batman isn't really a "goody goody".

he's often portrayed as a deeply damaged man, who sometimes takes out his anger on criminals and terrorizes them, or neutralizes them as a threat (at least for the time being) and comes to them from a place of understanding.

he recognizes that he walks a thin line, and that killing would likely push him over.

"Neutralizing" is pretty goody goody imho. So is trying to understand and help people who wouldn't give a second thought to blowing up a school or some other terrible thing.

Just my opinion

Bats being a broken and angry man because of his origin has been the mold for decades though. He just has a line too, like every hero.

He's more like Dark Knight Returns Batman, which is what Snyder was going for I think.

He's kind of an a******. Well respected, but most other heros don't even like him and those that do aren't sure he even likes them.

Batman is a literal vampire and superman is the son of Zod, adopted by illegal immigrants. If that sounds interesting to you, give it a try, it's quite good.

In fact, there's a few shorts they did to promote the movie, check them out to see if it's to your liking.
