The prequel trilogy was bad outside of a handful of scenes. ANH was decent and possibly even revolutionary for the time but that's about it and RotJ was bad. Shes able to kick his ass at every turn and she has no Jedi training. What makes a hero interesting is overcoming obstacles and being the underdog. This is Kylo Ren. He is the underdog and overcoming a godlevel Jedi like Rey would be an interesting movie. According to a supposed insider source, Bob Iger doesn't like Kathleen Kennedy and stopped stepping in on TLJ and Solo after fighting with her a lot on TFA and Rogue One because he thought it would backfire and allow him to remove her.
