I was asleep but I want to say, I was really impressed by all the detail in Forceful_Dragons responses. There seems to be this big thing in general sense then about fluff versus useful posts with content, but barring someone making some kind of huge mistake Im not certain what sort of thing town can do on day one. Certainly pele can watch everyone, but town can only really start acting like detective once someone dies, right?

Thats when thjngs from the previous day takes on new context. As it is, Im not certain how much of the discussion of things like Doom maybe or maybe not getting clowned in a previous game is really advancing anything. So Ill put it out there; Doom, Corrik, what can someone do to not be worthless on day one?

Im trying to keep my eyes open, but as 5tarscream said, I cant get a hard read on anyone yet either for similar reasons to him.

The most glaring thing I have is that plum not noticing MZero playing for an entire topic is kind of a thing.

Ah, you didn't get it - but that's alright.

The best thing you can do is to ask questions and challenge people on their opinions. You will note I have asked for perspective several times and that is because it makes people take stances. Stances which can be used for or against them as the game continues, depending on their answers. For example I didn't like who 5tarscream was going after but I liked his answers to my questions.

To expound: I don't think anything Sultan there did really took away from talking about Alakazam. He, unprompted, listed people he was stewing over and then followed up with someone to vote one of them. Now I agree with you that the reasoning isn't great but I think often times people mistake poor play for scum play. Sultan is actually showing some drive in figuring out the game and isn't floundering for suspects, which I tend to take away from newbie scum more than anything.

Alakazam what are your thoughts on the game at the moment? You seem as fluffy as cotton candy.

I think the lack of talking is hurting, on that note I think FD, showed pointed a figure at me, which is an easy target, then left and hasn't returned yet, looks really bad.... he did all that start up work for nothing. I think corrik is town by him scum hunting same with you, red I'm unsure of. And everyone else I'm still neutral.

Consider this as a vote, and not contervote, for FD as he needs to do more then point a figure at someone then leave.

Doom, do you know who Rogue Noble is? Secondly, and more importantly, How do you feel about Forceful Dragon? Alakazamtrainer felt he was being fixated on. My initial thoughts were that FD was legitimate, but is that just because he wrote a lot of interesting things? I think it's more likely he isn't scum, but do you think I'm right about that? Someone who writes a lot of long posts with content could be a strong force for either side.

Hm, how do I feel about FD? I will say I have already answered that, so perhaps you should be paying attention to me more carefully. I liked FD's content and thought it was well done, not alignment confirming or anything (calm down there Mzero) but it was meaty and showed effort, which is sometimes in short supply. I think he may be misguided with Alakazam (Alakazam CAN be scum, but god I ca nsee every FD point coming from a town Alakazam too sadly)

Yeah long posts can for sure come from scum (see: me) so it is best to examine the content. Effort is not solely in the domain of town.

Red has been altogether much more interactive than I would expect him to be. Perhaps he was telling the truth and this can actually just be attributed to the All Star Break followed by a road trip for the Dodgers, but it's the playfulness that is striking me more than the "red has more time on his hands so he is posting more". Is this scum red trying to be friendly? To rub people the right way as happy go lucky friendly neighborhood redien? Or maybe this is town red trying to avoid a bullet night 1. Last game you played a very unorthodox day 1, Chris, and it worked out. It kept you alive through the first couple nights and then scum had a list of "must shoot targets" to prioritize over your vanilla ass. Maybe this is town red trying to be the most un-red imaginable on day 1 trying to get scum to scratch their heads and say "I dunno what he's doing, but he's never done this before so maybe we just let it ride for now and try to lynch him".

I could honestly see it being either of those directions, but, gun to my head I would say I'm leaning the scum explanation rather than the town. With 200 posts remaining I reserve the right to change my mind.

But while it's early morning for you it's still very late for me. So i need to finish catching up then then catch Zs.

About that Chris, this post right here shows he's kept on top of the posting, maybe no time to replay, but has still read though everything. This post alone makes me wonder if he wasn't scummoned and blamed work.

Nah, I know what you were going to say, just wanted you to say it so we have it down.

I don't feel like he's playing like a new player. I figured I'd toss a vote on the new guy to get "new player reacts" and got nothing. Maybe it's my CE background or my background from the forum mafia board, but new players typically at least react to an early random vote because they don't really understand that the votes in the first few hours can be random, especially with no reasoning attached to them. (This is why I voted initially)

His lack of response makes me think that he rolled up on the scum board and asked "What do I do?" (like every newbie scum ever) and someone told him to "remain calm, don't panic if someone votes for you, and post so you don't look like you're just lurking with nothing to say" - which is the cliffnotes for new scum. I feel he's really been non-responsive. (This is why I left my vote on him overnight)

Personally, I'm also surprised- there are players I would have figured would have tagged in with me to try to test a new player, or to try to test other new players, but that really hasn't happened.



Seeing Matt Ryan drag his quality dong across the Texans defense reminds me that even in Summersim, the Texans are trash

Well, I was jumped early on and the guys I mentioned in my previous post defended me, and I appreciated that since we had literally just started and I felt I was only being singled out because I was actually posting. Which is s false positive for anything. Then you immmediately suspected them which made me feel like you were trying to take out people who might have been probable town defenders.

This whole Corrick thing is complicating the issue though.

Whatever the case, Im not mad at you or anything cuz its a game :)

Also its more of why I thought they were town; they were trying to get people to relax and not start lynching people just because they were the first to stick their head up and post. Although I get the impression we should all vote every time yeah? I don't think this is true at all. No one was voting for you, except for me, and in P231 you say you noticed it wasn't noticed, so I don't think it's consistent to say that "you felt jumped on early" but also "I noticed no one was jumping on me when Nana voted for me."


Then he deflects the conversation by "accidentally" posting about basketball and only starts cornering me again after I'm alone because I made a newbie mistake and deleted a post. Is this a coincidence?

If voting me was just testing the waters, why is he just letting it ride? Has he just not had time to come back yet?

The problem I had with Nana is his posts were fake content about a newbie, but his answer when pressed did not strike me as off and I let it go.

The problem now is all he's done most of the day is sit there with a vote on a new guy without pursuing anything else or trying to actually get the guy lynched. It's at best pure laziness.

I also think that's roughly what Fake was trying to say, he just should've said it much more concisely and without the quote blocks.
