one theory is that 2 factions of aliens came to earth during ww2 and fought a conflict against each other through us. basically how it worked was, each side helped out without actually fighting themselves, supplying tech and stuff. one side was with the allies and one side helped the axis. after the war, we kept the tech and that is how we got suddenly evolved our civilization so fast in the 2nd half of the 20th century

Very fine people on both sides.

the aliens that sided with the axis were probably not very nice. I think the allies aliens cared more about trying to help humans. and the axis aliens just wanted power and were going to get some resources or something from the planet after Hitler took over the world. they made a deal with hitler

supposedly the greys that are good are really small and those big black eyes they have are lenses of some sort to protect their real eyes from the sun. and they came here to seek refuge from other alien races and in turn gave technology of their own. they also hate dogs.
