Im INTJ and dumb as fuck. Depression really threw my Child Prodigy narrative out of course. Almost failed out of high school after skipping two grades in elementary, barely skated through community college with a 2.6 GPA.

Even practical things, like ordering movie tickets and seats online, I am completely clueless about.

Damn... what else? I went 20 years of my life not knowing how to pay at a restaurant with a credit card. I always used to just pay in cash and say Keep the change.

I got a new car this year and it took me about 5 minutes and a phone call to my mom for me to get the gas lid open. My old car didnt need a switch underneath the seat for that.

My peers and my superiors constantly say that Im very bright and wise and a cut above the rest but really thats just me knowing how to read a book or understand instructions and complete what needs to be done. Im pretty clueless at a lot of things.

Myers Briggs is absolutely based in astrology.

That said, it's just for conversational purposes. INTJ just describes how you process information and the world around you but nothing more. The quality of how you process said information is another matter.

introverts = tendency to prioritize studies and interest in things over people = a small trend towards excelling in sciences and arts = quality inventions and products more likely to be made

not that there isn't such a thing as genius extroverts coming in the form of generals, leaders, and organizers for revolutionary movements.

the I part also lends towards more individualism and finding value outside tradition which means tending to progress in unorthodox ways like "humanity will never fly" than the wright bros come along and prove it all wrong.

N intuitive for focus on abstractions and integrated thinking for the longer term

T for thinking first emotions second. pretty explanatory and how that helps the intellect

J for judgement of right and wrong. taking mathematic certainty that 1+1=2 and applying that assertiveness into the wider realm of all ideas and possibilities. this is associated with confidence to stick to an idea if they think its right and act it out against other antagonistic pressures.

btw i do find incredible flaws in the mbti system that does make it inferior in judging types of people.

the system pits creativity against practicality and has such a skew for independence wrapped up in being introverted and judgmental which "handicaps" capacity for emotion. stupid questions like can u adapt or are just stuck in your ways of a plan is also non-conflict but they dissect the two against each other. that's not true.

being independent and ambitious towards a set few goals isn't an INTJ thing but a good trait open to all rational people. that should include any personality type. mbti is dumb in trying to say, "whoa if ur INTJ and being responsible thats like, only 2% of the populations bro!!!!" no, fuck off mbti - that's open to everyone and proper behavior of normal functioning people.
