No, they don't. Think of the lease, the fit out, the staff, the coffee machines, the electricity, etc etc.

Most restaurants/cafes make fuck all money. Many of them continuously lose money until the owner is bankrupted and they're shut down.

Huge margins are necessary when you're pushing a relatively small amount of cheap product. Doesn't mean they rake in money.
