On a lighter note, that wedding sounds legit TC. What kinda venue are you having it at?

Me and my fiancee's wedding is still over a year away. We got engaged a year ago yesterday actually, but are just as excited as we were the day of :D

Without being too specific, it's on the Brisbane River in a neighbouring suburb to the CBD.

Ah nah I don't mean the exact place I meant like like more what it's like. Catering Hall? Country club? Etc... Is it fancy and luxurious or rustic and quaint?

Fancy and luxurious. 100%. My fiance and I hate that rustic look.

Oh yeah I'll bawl my eyes out when I see her on the day.

Bosnian tradition is that we go to her parents place for for like a pre-ceremony party, and that's where her dad walks her down the "aisle" to me, and then we head to the wedding together and walk down the "aisle" togerher at the actual ceremony (I say aisle because our ceremony is outdoors).

Thanks man feels weird that 12 years ago I was an angsty little 15 year old virgin in high school and now I've moved cities, gotten engaged and have a good paying full time job

Also a cool thing, my fiance was the first girl I met on my first night out in Brisbane.

thats the one good thing about sticking around on CE, you see how we started from turbo-angsty-virgin nerds into fairly well adjusted people

imagine if you didnt go out that night in brisbane

Yeah definitely, it's been crazy to see us all grow up together. Lame to say that but in a way, we really have.

Bro it goes even further than that. I was literally
about to get on the bus to go home after exploring the new city all day, I was next in line, before I changed my mind and decided to go to a bar to grab something to eat first.

If I'd gotten on that bus... Never would have met her.

Ah, we're total opposite lol. We're having our reception at a historic farm that we buy eggs, milk, and produce from a lot.

Worked out though cuz it was the difference between spending $20,000+ on a wedding, and $7,000 on a wedding lol.

yeah, we're spending 50k on a fancy and luxorious white wedding, lol

my fiance picked up her dress last week (was only 3.6k) and they said to her she's the most "extra' bride theyve ever seen

our invites were $1800 alone, they're printed on 10mm thick acrylic lol
