Breitbart got some guy who appears to be on the verge of death to say "she's to the left of Putin," which, I mean, is also true of Donald Trump

But then Ocasio-Cortez spoke, followed by Bush, and I saw something truly terrifying. I saw just how easy it would be, were I less involved and less certain of our nations founding and its history, to fall for the populist lines they were shouting from that stage.

I saw how easy it would be, as a parent, to accept the idea that my children deserve healthcare and education.
I saw how easy it would be, as someone who has struggled to make ends meet, to accept the idea that a living wage was a human right.

The police can (or could previously) acquire surplus military equipment for pennies on the dollar which lead to a really big increase in shit you'd normally only see overseas in combat operations being used in the US.

Also a lot of people are against certain police tactics and training (especially the whole "us vs them", "this is our city and we have to protect it from the enemy" mentality, and the idea that police are oftentimes very quick to draw their gun instead of a taser or mace).

It looks like the actual full quote is this:

"They talk about things that everybody wants, especially if youre a parent they talk about education for your kids, health care... [but] its easy to fall into that trap & say, my kids deserve this, and maybe gov't should help me'"

People have just been cutting apart the actual quote to make it look worse. Nobody is saying people don't want education or healthcare for their kids. They're just towing the republican line of "it'll be better and more affordable in the free market". They're expressing discomfort in how easy it is to fall into the trap of being promised everything and supporting someone with no actual plan to make it happen.
