When a day lasts longer than a year
Where it rains sulfuric acid Where it's so hot it literally melts lead on the surface Where there's a volcano every few miles no matter where you are Where the atmosphere is so thick your lungs would explode (and then melt from the heat and dissolve in the acid rain) It's like if Earth hit menopause --- Physician [Internal Medicine] ... I'm sure the sun or Jupiter would be worse When I said "space" I was also including basically any interstellar object that isn't a planet. As for Jupiter, you couldn't ever really "live" there because at very best there's a rocky core surrounded by a sea of liquid hydrogen. I'm talking about a solid Earth-like planet, not a gas giant. Also Pluto would be cold as hell but it doesn't rain freaking acid, nor is it a planet. --- Physician [Internal Medicine] ... Copied to Clipboard!

It has to be a planet that you can actually put your foot on before being dead. We know we can at least land on Venus with a lander. Never say never but seems like a lost cause that isn't worth it.I'd say Venus is more useful as a mining planet for specific gases in the Atmosphere. If we need quick / cheap access to __ gas or element within the air of Venus, we can easily harvest it and process it in a orbital processing facility that would separate the elements into it's individual components for shipping off into space to other colonies / stations. --- Are you a MexiCAN or a MexiCAN'T - Johnny Depp 'Once Upon A Time in Mexico' ...
