No, not at all. Disney made a hasty, poor choice in my opinion. Meanwhile, thousands of people are still putting everything they have into the continuing production of the MCU. Maybe Guardians 3 will be worse off without Gunn... or maybe not. But aside from that, Disney's choice, considered in isolation, doesn't diminish my enjoyment of the MCU.

Spider-Man: Homecoming soured my taste on the Marvel movies.

Scarlet Johanson looks great, they make her look bland.
Zoe Saldana looks great, they make her look bland.
Zendaya looks great, say, is there a pattern here or something?

I love the diversity, I love the push for more and better female representation, but I've grown a little tired of movies with hot men and bland women. Zendaya is beautiful and would've been ideal for a black or biracial Mary Jane Watson, but they made her a geeky weirdo because it'd be sexist if the love interest was physically attractive.

Typically, when it comes to action, I look for good villains and good fight scenes. And if I watch enough of them in a row, yeah, I'm probably gonna want a little eye candy too. Everyone likes to see someone attractive. The villains are notoriously and deliberately underwritten, the fight scenes are mostly done in that shitty Bourne Indentity/Batman Begins style of over-editing everything, and the women are just bland.

The strength of the MCU has always been in the comedy and the likable male characters. And by this point, I'm a little tired of just hanging out with the guys and cracking jokes. Maybe Zendaya is an excuse. Maybe Marvel fatigue was setting in and I just needed a reason to not care anymore. But I had no interest in GotG2 or Infinity Wars.

Nah. Don't care at all.
