scyther needs offensive moves

butterfree is much better suited to a utility moveset

that being said, rain dance shouldn't be anything more than filler. on either of them.

Rain only decreases the strength of fire type attacks, it doesn't make your pokemon immune to fire attacks.

If Scyther still learns False Swipe, that sets up what at least used to be a pretty handy combo for catching hard-to-catch Pokemon.
