Evidence:

1. On this site it is ok to suggest that people with mental handicaps should be aborted, but at the same time suggesting that pets are more replaceable than humans is grounds for suspension.

2. When discussing whether or not transgenderism should be classified as a mental disorder, mods consider "mental disorder" a slur and shut down the conversation.

3. Terms like "Autism" trigger a redirect to a check box to discourage conversations on the subject.

You can't even use the r word even if you are talking about a mechanical device to assist in friction based braking systems because the auto censor assumes you are insulting someone's intelligence. Oddly the t word which is a synonym for lateness also gets caught up in the censor.

It doesnt. He just has nothing to say and is attempting to side step transgenderism being a mental health disorder so he brings up same sex marriage and suicide rates.

That said, scientific studies (particularly psychology and sociology) are funded by people with political agendas. Being gay was a mental disorder in the DSMII and was removed in the DSMIII and all later additions.

But seriously if you go to a doctor and say youre in the wrong body, you need your wang cut off and to undergo surgery they should look at you the same was as if you went in an asked for your arm to be amputated.

Not even gonna get into the suicide rate and how many trans people off themselves after sexual reassignment surgery because it didnt fix the problem.

It kind of is though. I was modded for answering a question about why people on the spectrum often enjoy children's cartoons. The reasoning being I must have been implying people who like children's cartoons are on the spectrum. It's treated as an insult no matter what.
