Original trilogy - Great
Prequel trilogy - I only liked Revenge of the Sith and Darth Maul looked cool I guess.
New trilogy - Terrible. I can't even say one positive thing about it. I do not have high hopes for the next entry.

I also said Darth Maul looked cool so I'm not jumping no gun thanks. Also of course I'm going to judge the two films of the new trilogy as that's all we can possible judge so far. I fail to see your point here.

On one of the scenes during Rey's visit to the planet she looks down and sees his X-wing sunk into the sea. So yeah, that's what happened to it.

Luke could have gotten it out using the Force.

If two movies are "bad" in a trilogy then there's no way a third would redeem it entirely.

I agree that the new Star Wars movies make the prequels look good, at least they feel like Star Wars movies. I'm among the few that actually liked the first prequel movie, but was extremely disappointed to find out I didn't even get to see the Clone Wars take place in the prequels.

The prequels felt almost like a necessary history lesson for how the emperor came to power and how Darth Vader became corrupt, these new stories in my opinion are just bad.

I don't see why the new movies couldn't have just taken all the source material they already had from the extended universe and made movies from that, but whatever. But remember guys if you didn't like the new movies according to the director and it's actors you're just a mean old troll.

It really did seem direction less and pointless. I can forgive tfa for being a paint by numbers jumping off point for introducing the arc but they don't revisit or expand upon any of the more interesting points they introduced. In fact they deliberately throw out some of those plot points in TLJ.

Considering that this is supposed to be a trilogy, I don't see how or what is going to be wrapped up in the end. It's like they'd have to reboot the whole thing and iron out what they want unless the next installment can throw some hail Mary from out of nowhere.

^oh yeah I didn't think the first movie had potential to give us something really good but then I feel like they squandered that.

For example Rey is the most boring character ever and totally feels like a Mary Sue.

I really do think Finn & Poe are the most interesting characters in The First movie, and that it would have been really cool to see them go on some cool Bounty Hunter adventures together and Finn to become a better Jedi slowly (and not throw that idea out the window). We even could have had a slow build-up with Finn coming to terms with that he's an original person and not just a stormtrooper and his final Arc would have been a showdown with the golden Trooper.

So I think the potential in the sequel is squandered to the utmost possibility. I mean the actress that plays the gold Trooper is a ruthless badass in Game of Thrones butt we didn't get to see any of that in these films.

TLJ should have been awesome, TFA set a good foundation

Instead we get no character development, no direction and very little plot that probably could have been descent if they cut what was there down to like half the movie and developed the story and characters better

Also cut out rose and have Poe and Finn go on a mission (one that matters to the movie) cut out the bullshit between holdo and Poe so there is actual direction in the movie. Also they shouldn't have brought back Leia like they did.

Just going off what they were doing it would have been better if it started off the same for the Resistance, but without Leia dying, it would have been better if Kylo not blowing it up had a real impact. Then have Leia send Poe and Finn on a mission. Then, instead of Luke thinking the Jedi go extinct he should feel grief and think that he's a bad teacher, but reluctantly help Rey.

Have Poe and Finn go on their undercover mission to disable the tracker. Show Rey and Kylo communicating, but not on a constant basis, so Rey still thinks he can be saved. Have her go try to turn him and Luke doesn't go for the same reasons. This time Kylo doesn't immediately turn on Snoke and Rey gets captured. Poe and Finn successfully get the tracker disabled and Leia gets to hiding, but they get caught, as they are getting off the ship, by Phasma.
Phasma uses them as bait to find where Leia is. Kylo lets Rey go to try and get her to join him but she refuses, and escapes. When she's trying to leave Kylo comes out with Poe and Finn and they have a lightsaber fight with Rey, Poe and Finn escaping, but on a tracked ship.

Snoke sees this as a failure on Kylo but they go to Crait after Rey, Poe and Finn get there. Luke actually shows up and has a Lightsaber battle with Kylo who is pposed at him and Rey now. Luke manages to beat him pretty quickly but doesn't kill him when Snoke comes out and proceeds to battle with Luke. Rey goes to defend Luke, but Snoke is too strong, and Rey calls out for help from Kylo and this is when Kylo finally turns on Snoke. Then Hux turns on Kylo and he's forced to escape with the Resistance.

That's just a basic rewrite to add some direction and cut out the pointless stuff

If I was going to do make it myself I should definitely go in a different direction than that though

The only thing they really were locked into was Rey on Ahch-to (hell they could have even done a jump in time and skipped over the early training) , but the whole ship thing didn't need to be there, they had pretty much a blank slat to do things, brought the characters in any direction they chose and started at pretty much at any location and chose to stay on a ship for the entirety of the main plot

So because I enjoyed Revenge of the Sith that automatically means prequel trilogy was great? You literally need to understand some basic logic. If I said I only enjoyed one film out of a trilogy that means most of said trilogy sucked well save from Darth Maul looking cool. Clearly the next star wars film could be great(doubt it) but this wouldn't stop the new trilogy from sucking so far as two of it's entries have been a dumpster fire. I can only rate what I've watched.
