He's supposed to think he's a little cooler than he is, but people in general consider him a bit of an oddball. I think the first season starts a little slow, but it's nice. Didn't finish the second one yet, but I've read three books so far and they're quite nice. I'd definitely say they're kind of ASoIaF in space, but a little lighter. And every book is its own contained adventure, with considerable time passing in-between. --- Everything has an end, except for the sausage.
