When I first played, Ulti kept trying to treat me like I was her and I have no idea who she even is. Was she that bad?

I wish I could be surprised by that, but it's Ulti.

As for Dream.... yeah the stories are pretty crazy. I'll let someone who knew her more personally speak about her.

The one game she hosted though I recall being rather poor balance wise. Apparently she didn't randomize the roles and instead directly gave people their alignment. For some reason me and another user with "Dark" in their name were scum.... perhaps that's unrelated to anything, it's just something that popped into my head just then. Also no scum board so we kept posting at the same time(and I kept being noticed as lurking to avoid posting at the same time all the time).

Honestly though the interactions I've had with her were pretty mild, I missed most of it. All I really remember, outside the above rambling, is her pulling survivor.... and hinting way too hard she was survivor. If you've seen Corrik's stance on that role, you know how that ended.

Ooh she was a planeteer. Also um.. Survivor is conceptually pretty simple to me really. "Independent" is not "Town". You do not treat it like it is. If you are not sure on someone being "Scum", lynching the "Independent" seems like the obvious choice to me.

I agree with that sentiment. Though at the same time I have a bit of a soft spot for them. Well, providing the survivor themselves seems earnest and town can afford to let them live. If town is near a corner "Sorry, but goodbye". If the survivor was useless and expected to ride to a victory? I'll lynch them with a smile on my face(A lot of players in Town of Salem played that way, I couldn't stand it ).

I don't like how I justified it, either. What's your point? That newbies can't make rookie mistakes?

I flew off the handle because of Corrik's tactics coming at a time when I was emotionally volatile, which was not something I foresaw at the start of that game. I know myself well enough and can say that since I still have a lot on my mind, I regret that I cannot promise that such a thing will not recur. I am being 100% honest with you. I will try my damndest to avoid such a meltdown but unfortunately they've been occurring more than I'd like as of late (after having so few for the two years before).

It may be best for not only me but everyone involved if I was a designated replacement that didn't come in until later. It is your decision, however.

I feel like such caveats are more likely to cause problems. If town is already cornered it might not be able to afford to lynch the survivor at that point.

That's also true. Survivors are tricky to have around, and the survivor themselves are pretty much at everyone's mercy. It's a lose/lose situation imo.
