Marriage just makes me better than most people.

Tupacrulez posted...

It is 100% without a doubt more of an accomplishment to be with someone and have a relationship with that person which lasts, and is beneficial to both people individually and the couple as a whole, than it is to be with a different person you have no comittment to every week.

Owning a house and a car will get your foot in the door (literally and figuratively) with a huge margin of women. Having a stable career and not being a stereotypical asshole will basically get you laid at will.

There's nothing hard about it. It's not an accomplishment.

As for statistics, well, 100% of marriages end anyway, cause one person dies first in the huge, vast majority of cases.

Doesn't really bother me. Mine is mine, focusing on other people's isn't helping mine.

no, it isn't. marriage is a lifestyle choice. it's like saying being vegan makes you superior. do whatever makes you happy, but don't try and act like some random choice makes you superior

Making up stories on CE is a lifestyle choice too.

why do you need 3 credit cards?

For emergencies? I have my main credit card, debit card, and two backup credit cards. You really wanna take the risk of getting stranded without bank access as a result of whatever misguided point you're trying to prove?

Some of us are a little sentimental too; I have my Taiwan Easy-card (the bus system) from when I spent a summer in Taiwan, plus two $100 and $200 NTD (New Taiwan Dollar) bills.

I also have two punch cards for places I frequent during the normal work week, plus my laundry card for the apartment W/D units. I'd rather have it in my wallet at all times where I know where it is, as opposed to leaving it somewhere in my apartment and forgetting.

as sherlock holmes says, "sentiment is a defect often found in the losing side"

leave your sentimental taiwan stuff at home, that way if you get mugged you wouldn't lose them.

punch cards are at least thin, but i would still leave them at home unless i know i'm going to those places that day. if you forget it..you can always get a new punch card and combine them

why do you need to carry your w/d card...? just leave it at home, not like you wouldn't be at home when you do laundry anyway. if you're afraid you'll lose it...get more organized

as i mentioned, i don't risk getting stranded without bank access because i always carry a 20 with me, that is enough to get me home in an emergency. MAYBE 2 cards, what kind of emergency needs 3 cards? if you're out of town or far from home, just take your ID into your bank and they'll let you take money out even without your credit card.

Imagine not using your rectum as a wallet

You joke, but my son @Black462 is intimately familiar with the space you kids call a "prison wallet". We've brought this up with his psychiatrist. On the rare occasions he goes outside with us to Walmart, he has to reach down his pants and pull out the allowance his mother and I provide him one bill at a time. The disgusted looks on the cashiers faces are truly embarrassing. The last time we took him out to buy the new pony body pillow, a nugget came out with his change.

card cases are shit you need a wallet with a coin pouch to put your coins in and it needs to have an extra pocket to put a spare key in in case you get locket out.

lmao i dont do change. i barely even do cash. change is useless, it's not worth the effort to hold onto. i'll just use the quarters for meters and then the rest of the change as tips. i gave a spare key to my 919 neighbor and it gives me an excuse to knock on her door at 3am and potentially turns into a booty call. learn to plan ahead the right way

Ah, that settles it then. I guess I should start living my life based on what fictional characters have to say.

I know you don't understand sentiment, so you won't understand why keeping it on me > leaving it at home. I can handle it if I get mugged and it gets lost, so it's not a big deal.

No_U_L7 posted...

Again because then I'm just making a mess at home with leaving that stuff around everywhere. And you're here preaching saving space, yet you want me to grab a brand new card every time I forget? Not to mention redeeming them would be awkward; "hey cashier, here's three cards, one with 3 punches, one with 1, and one with 6. These combine to 10." Then sitting there while she counts them and deals with all of them.

You're creating so much more work for yourself instead of just keeping them on you. My morning schedule is perfectly crafted to maximize sleep time. I'm not going to waste time in a tired daze digging through my shit to find the cards I may or may not need. Secondly, I don't want to be locked into my lunch destination from 8:30 AM. I like being able to decide on a whim. So if I bring a card for place A, but go to place B, then I'm wasting time AND space, as opposed to just wasting space.

I dunno man. I just explained it to you clear as day. The risk of losing it is minimal, but it's not worth the risk of getting stuck unable to do laundry and/or paying for a replacement card. So I'd rather just keep it as part of my "big 3" items (keys, wallet, phone) that I make sure are on me or in my eyesight at all times.

No_U_L7 posted...

Once again man, I dunno what to tell you. Emergencies are far more than just "hoping a cab is near you and within a $20 ride back to your place."

No_U_L7 posted...
MAYBE 2 cards, what kind of emergency needs 3 cards?

I travel a lot, so I'm not always even in my home city. So unlike you, I can't take a $20 cab 600 miles back home. And secondly, my latter two cards (debit card and backup credit card) are from the same bank of mine, so I figure if one gets cancelled then the other might get cancelled as well. Again, probably unlikely, but it's a risk there's no point in taking.

No_U_L7 posted...

My bank doesn't have branches all across the world famalam.

My point across all this is this; why invite all sorts of unnecessary risk for something as simple as a smaller wallet?

you''re creating risk by not having your life properly organized. ie, why is your main and backup card from the same bank? why is don't you use a bank that has branches all around the world? if you were more organized, you could be a lot more efficient. i guess some people just don't care about efficiency.

But I am organized. Everything is in one place, which is one of the "big three" I mentioned earlier.

No_U_L7 posted...
why is your main and backup card from the same bank?

Reading comprehension is hard; I said the "latter two" cards are from the same bank. My main credit card is from a different one. When one says "latter," one is referring to "those listed last" in a given list. This is the opposite of which is "former," which refers to the first one(s) listed.

No_U_L7 posted...

More to manage, more potential fees, more cards, more disorganization. You're telling me to stay organized and also telling me to create more disorganization.

What exactly are you trying to prove?

Also you never did answer my main question;

i did, we obviously have different definitions of organized. just because you know where something is doesn't make it organized.

more organized life, minimized risk if you lose the wallet, slimmer profile lines in your pants lead to a sexier appearance

Yours is obviously wrong then, considering your solution is to open more banks and leave everything in different locations and move stuff around (and use the same password for everything lmfao)

Also the whole pants line thing is moot because who the fuck doesn't keep it in the lining of their jacket breast? No line at all > slim line

lot's of places don't accept 100's (a lot of cash only bars will not accept it). some people pull shady shit when giving change for a 100 (don't trust taxi drivers). Sometimes the cash is used as a tip for expedited club entry, not exactly gonna ask the bouncer to break a 100. And carrying a 100 opens you up to a lot more loss than if i lost the 20-40.
