It isn't possible to finish an entire campaign past gatekeepers without it locking up and crashing, post patch. This was the only DLC I preorderd, and will be the last. Why nobody criticized the fuck out of this mess is beyond me.

I know the game is fairly janky on console, but I never encountered game-breaking errors or crashes like that, even on the weaker Xbox One

I have frame rate issues every once in a while, but never anything game breaking or crashes or anything.

Every time I try to complete a mission post game keepers, the game crashes. I am on PS4, and this is absolutely absurd.

Even the first XCOM wasn't great on console. I was incredibly pissed off when I got a game-ending bug in Enemy Within on the 360. Because of it, I'll probably never turn on Ironman again. Even now that I have XCOM 2 on PC I'd be hesitant to enable Ironman.

so, what makes Ironman is the fact that there's only one save that gets saved over every time.

but on PC, this can be circumvented by simply opening the gamefiles, going to Saves, and just copy and paste it somewhere else. that way you can have a backup save.
so if the game breaks (or you're just not happy with the results of some moves), just delete the save in the gamefiles, and paste the copy.

True. Although you can also just commit to avoiding savescumming.

A couple times I've run into a glitch where an enemy's physical appearance is not actually where they are on the map.

yeah. but when you have problems with gamebreaking bugs as you said, then i feel you have every right to deal with it like that.
