I'm guessing this is comparing 10-year old Clark Kent to 10 year old Phelps because the record for 100m butterfly is well under a minute

Correct. It was the same competition, Phelps was 10 too in 1995.

I watched a report on CNN on tv. and then looked this article up without reading it cause I already saw the story. it was just for people who weren't watching CNN right then so they didn't so it.

yea cause I watched it. I literally saw live action video on tv of a reporter telling the story and even showing the kid in an interview. I didn't need to read it. why would a text CNN article tell a different tale than what they report in tv? its the same stuff.

Yeah this 10 year old kid got into competitive swimming really late in life.

To be fair, that time is pretty fast even for high school level swimming and a lot of high school swimmers have been doing it their entire lives.

1:09 for 100m fly at 10 is fucking amazing cus it's easily the most exhausting stroke, I didn't get there until around 12 or 13. Interested to see how he does later in life.
