it's a massive agency, with 3 branches in my city alone (and each branch has dozens of divisions). they have not offered me a job after any of these interviews. i really want to work for the agency. keep going or find a different route?

I had 5 interviews with a place once. By the time i had an email asking if i would come back for a 6th I told them unless there was a job offer where we would discuss pay I wouldnt be taking another interview. They kept wanting me to meet them in the afternoon which involved me taking time off my current job at the time.

Some companies just dont have their shit together, if you dont get the job by the 3rd interview just be cordial and say you arent interested. 18 interviews and still no position? I dont think i would even want to work at a company like that.

Sales is for you then my friend. And its one of those jobs that actually does pay you based on how hard you work. A good outside sales gig at a big corporation is pretty nice.

You'd get a company car, maybe a T&E budget.

sounds like yours was a series of interviews. mine is 18 different 1st interviews. all branches/divisions/sections operate independently...none had no idea i was interviewed by the others

i have 3 college engineering degrees and my market value is currently 6 figures with full pension, health and holidays. don't think sales is gonna work for me...

but if you've been denied 18 times maybe you're not worth as much....or maybe you are. iunno

market value is according to degrees, certifications and years of experience. so it's set in stone. now if you're saying it's a buyer (hirer) market, then maybe i'm not. but i have all the career check marks to make that level of value at this agency.

And I guess coming from an MBA background its a little different though because an MBA alone does jack shit. Experience is a little more important compared to engineering (not to minimize experience in engineering...but entry level there is a difference)

you're missing the point. "pick up artist" isn't a title at a high level. it's not "self proclaimed" because i deemed myself at a certain level. there are tons and tons of terrible pick up artists. it's like how you can be an artist but be terrible at it and super poor...but if you create art, study it and try to get better at it you're still an artist. i'm not a "self proclaimed" pick up artist because i didn't proclaim it, that just happens to be the label used in every day nomenclature to describe what i do. i actually hate the phrase and think it sounds douchey, but "i study and apply attraction and seduction" just makes people confused. i never proclaimed myself "human", it just happens to be the word that is used. same for me as a pick up artist.

that just sounds ridiculous. but whatever, i just didn't want you to confuse the word "artist" with "master". i've never claimed to be a master at it. it's something i study, work at and aim to be better at.
