Because it's been a while since the last Character Battle, I think this is a good opportunity to get a lot of newcomers into the contest, and with that in mind, I would like to see Aqua from Kingdom Hearts make her debut. Following her first appearance in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep as one of the three playable characters in that game, she has become one of the most popular characters in the series. She became popular enough to get her own game where she is the only playable character, and her appearance in the Kingdom Hearts 3 E3 2018 trailer was such a shocker among Kingdom Hearts fans that Tetsuya Nomura said he was taken aback by how much people cared for her, especially since the Frozen world was meant to be the big reveal, but the circumstances behind Aqua's return overshadowed it.

As far as contest strength goes, my guess is that Aqua would be stronger than Roxas at least, possibly around Riku's level or slightly higher, thanks to having The Jug Factor on her side as well as the After School Vote which all Kingdom Hearts characters get. As well as that, Kingdom Hearts 3 is definitely coming for sure in January, so I predict that Kingdom Hearts characters will be stronger than they have been in recent years, thanks to the boost from Kingdom Hearts 3 hype. Granted, it didn't do much for Sora in 2013 when Kingdom Hearts 3 was first announced, but we didn't know when it was coming out then and now we do, so that might make a difference.

Sure, it's possible that if Aqua got in she could end up being a disappointment, but I still think it's worth getting her in at least once to find out for sure. In my opinion, now is the best time to get Aqua in because she is a popular character in her series, she is currently fresh on people's minds, and if we waited until after Kingdom Hearts 3 came out, we'll know what's the deal with Aqua and she might not be as strong then. I am going to nominate Aqua once the nominations open, and I hope others do as well if they want to see her in the contest.

IIRC, I nominated her in the last character contest. She is the best character in one of my favourite franchises.
