What a strange hill to die on

He'll do alright. He's in Escape Plan 2 with Sylvester Stallone, he's been announced (rumored?) for the next Bond film, and there's plenty of room for a big guy who can put together a decent acting job.

I'm sure Warner/DC would be willing to cast him in a role.

And he knows worst case scenario that Vince would toss him millions to work like, maybe 5 matches in WWE whenever he wanted to come back. He's not struggling as much as these alt-lite chucklefucks are trying to imply

lol. I hadn't even thought of him wrestling a Brock Lesnar schedule. Damn. He's a "real" entertainer now. I could just imagine Vince McMahon picturing the prospect. "Brock was UFC, Batista was HOLLYWOOD!"

If he comes back, he won't be Bootista. He'll be the star of Guardians of the Galaxy.

Didn't Batista say he wanted to come back, but the WWE just hasn't come knocking?

He claimed that he'd come back, but disagreed with the product so much he'd only work house shows.

Which I really don't buy, I think he just wants to embrace his chance at Hollywood while he's still relatively young and realizes wrestling will be there for the next decade or so for him. And it doesn't matter how bad of feelings you leave with, if there's money to be made, Vince will do business.

Batista had better get some of the other leads on board with him because most people wouldnt skip GotG3 just because Drax is gone.

I didnt realize Chris Pratt was religious and now I like him less. :( Oh well. Im curious to see if him and Zoe Saldana will take a stronger stance. Im guessing no. Its a weird position to be in, like yeah you like the guy and what he said was a decade in the past but at the same time, how vehemently can you really defend someone who was making pedo jokes before people start to wonder if youre kind of a bad person too? Its not an issue worth tanking your career over.

Go ahead and tell me how advocating pedophilia and rape is "maintaining the Disney image."

he did that a decade ago, before he signed the contract. This keeps getting brought up and you keep ignoring it/deflecting away from it. And he wasn't advocating pedophilia and rape, he was making tasteless jokes. Don't be ridiculous.

Lets not forget that Robert Downey Jr. had a pretty... rough life before the MCU, right? Why is he not 'fired' for his past?

It's not part of his contract.

I can't say I'd be too eager to see it. I like Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana, but Star Lord and Gamora contributed nothing to the movie. For me, it was all about Rocket, Groot, and Drax. With Groot being replaced by baby Groot, Drax's departure would be a pretty hefty loss.

I didnt realize Chris Pratt was religious and now I like him less. :(

So James Gunn has to uphold the 'disney' reputation but RDJ does not? Also, how can you breach a contract for stuff you did before the contract was signed?

Is RDJ's drug use causing controversy NOW, like Gunn's Twitter posts did?

No?

James Gunn's tweets didnt until Disney saw them. No one noticed the tweets until Disney let him go...

Disney saw them because someone pointed them out publicly.

That falls well inside the area of 'controversy.'
