This is kinda disingenuous, though.
Obama inherited an economic shitshow, while Trump came into a slow vague recovery.

Obama got a shitty economy and then made it 100x worse. Trump has overcome the obstacles created by the mutinous and treasonous obama administration and made America great again.

No. It just sort of lumbered along, then Obamacare fucked everything up, then it lumbered some more.

A better comparison would be comparing Reagan's turnaround from Carter, to Trump's turnaround from Carter Jr.

I think they mean 4.1% increase for the year, which seems alright. As long as it's not negative, the economy should be doing well >_>

1) Obama stepped into office with a $1.4 trillion dollar defecit
2) The defecit was ~600 million when Obama left office
3) Obama stepped into office with a huge recession going on
4) Trump stepped into office with a growing economy

https://www.thebalance.com/current-u-s-federal-budget-deficit-3305783

The U.S. federal budget deficit for fiscal year 2019 is $985 billion. FY 2019 covers October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019. The deficit occurs because the U.S. government spending of $4.407 trillion is higher than its revenue of $3.422 trillion.

https://www.thebalance.com/fy-2018-trump-federal-budget-request-4158794

The fiscal year 2018 federal budget outlines U.S. government revenue and spending from October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018. The budget process began when President Trump submitted his budget. In January 2018, Congress enacted a bill to guide spending for the next two years. On March 23, 2018, it passed the Omnibus Spending Bill that outlined appropriations for specific departments.

The Office of Management and Budget estimates that revenue will be $3.340 trillion.

That's less than the planned spending of $4.173 trillion. It will create a $833 billion budget deficit.

Look at this.

https://historyinpieces.com/research/us-unemployment-rates-president

It shows modern unemployment rates by president. Notice Obamas? That high unemployment rate is when he got into office and then steadily dropped. So while Trump using that 9+ unemployment rate is accurate it is also disingenuous. He is using the biggest rate rather then the lowest or average rate. Really the rates are still dropping and have been for years.

The massive tax cut for the wealthy has a pretty immediate effect on the deficit.

Really it shouldn't be a competition. Both democrats and republicans are doing what they think is best of this country. I don't like Trump's us versus them approach with making the democrats the bad guys. Even if you think they are going about it the wrong way they are trying to help our country too. It's all a game to Trump when politics shouldn't be a game.

It is, but its also a 'well if things continue like this for the rest of the year, its gonna be this'

but, a deeper dive also shows a lot of companies buying American products in anticipation of tariffs, so it'll drop once they stop buying
