Factory jobs typically pay well with decent benefits. By 'well', you'll never be rich but you should be able to live a fairly comfortable life as long as you don't spend like an idiot.

I do custodial and make a living wage

Of course, if you're young and living at home you should at least take part in some training courses to make you more valuable i.e. Playground cert, HVAC. There's a lot of courses that take less than a year but will increase your earning power by a few grand a year for the rest of your life.

It's a mobility company so you either install stairlifts or fix them. But they are trivially simple to work on and install.

The base pay isn't great ($16-18 per hour for installers, a bit more for service techs) but they also get paid a bonus per install ($70-200 depending on the job). Most of the wage comes from the time and a half over time people just naturally accrue because scheduling books guys 9-5 and books them right but we pay drive time. So most people end up working an extra hour or two a day. Plus we let guys work as much overtime as they want so if somebody wants to work every weekend then they can. I'd say the average guy gets $60-80k easily though

Also gives decent benefits. 20 days paid holiday a year, 3% matched 401k, free healthcare (but a HSA plan or you can pay $100 a month for a subsidized non-HSA)

Where in the country do you live? Depends on if we are hiring for that area.

This is where we are hiring right now. Don't bother looking at sales though, its miserable and I wouldn't ever recommend it (I've worked for the company for 13 years)

I'm actually the corporate trainer so I train new installers and service techs
