do you remember the demon drop? power tower is tall but not incredibly tall

I never got to ride demon drop, i went to Cedar Point for the first time 15 years ago and then i didn't go back til last season. The first time, i didn't ride much because i had a fear of heights. That's gone now

Oh yeah I remember Demon Drop. Back then I didnt have a fear of heights so I was golden on that ride. I was in a helicopter crash(more of a rough landing but still a crash) and Ive had a fear of heights ever since.

I'll do Cedar Point sometime

Cedar Point, but I've only been there and the four Disney World parks. Cedar Point is an hour to 90 minutes from me in Southeast Michigan.

Millenium Force is the best for me, it's just perfect, but I haven't gone on Steel Vengeance yet. I always prop myself up subtly so that when they check the restraint, it's holding against me, but when I'm on the ride, I have a good chunk of space to float over the secondary hills. I also love Magnum, Maverick, Gatekeeper, Valravn, and Raptor too, in more or less that order. I loved the Mean Streak too, so I can't wait to try Steel Vengeance.

I hate Maxair, the only ride that makes me feel sick. Corkscrew and Mantis/Rougarou aren't great either.

Dragster is alright. I haven't been to Six Flags, so I can't judge, but the post saying it's better than Cedar Point because of how some rides compare to Dragster is a little suspect in my eyes because I wouldn't call Dragster the feature presentation there, but to each his own.

Last time at Cedar Point, we had Fast Lane Plus passes. WOW, what a day that was.

For a time Dragster was the tallest and faster coaster in the world. Six Flags wanted to top that and built King Da Ka to do so. I'm not sure if KDK still holds the title as tallest and fastest anymore though. I think a coaster in Japan beat it recently. Nonetheless, when I went to Cedar Point Dragster was definitely the feature coaster at the time. I'm reading that things have changed though so now I gotta go back!

Steel Vengeance will throw you around especially if you ride on the Black Jack train. That train hasn't been used much and you can tell it. If you can, ride last row on the right side because you get the most air time. The first outboard hill is the best because you're out of your seat all the way down.

The parks I remember vividly:

Six Flags St. Louis (local)
Six Flags Great America
Holiday World
Busch Gardens Williamsburg

#1: Six Flags Great America. It takes about 5 hours to get there from home, but the variety and intensity of the rides there makes the park a top spot for me if I had to choose. The park gets constant attention from the Six Flags chain, much more so than my local park.

#2: Holiday World. The trip there is about 3 hours from home. Free drinks at the park is a plus, and while their roller coaster lineup is a bit short, they get constant re-rides from me, if my motion sickness can handle it. The nearby campground makes it a good destination for the family, too.

#3: Busch Gardens Williamsburg. The only time I was there was in 2013 because the trip takes about 13 hours and at the time, a friend was stationed in Norfolk. Therefore, not a trip to consider. However, all of the rides are excellent and the park has good aesthetics.

#4: Six Flags St. Louis. It's a local park, taking less than an hour to get there, so I go to it if people want to accompany. A few rides are noteworthy, such as one of the dozen Batman clones, the other Mr. Freeze ride, and the wooden coaster lineup, but the rest are just meh. Six Flags does not pay much attention to this park because it's not a tourist destination in the slightest. Makes me sad. We are overdue for a landmark coaster, but the budget and the constant ride issues make it impossible to see one.

Probably Universal Studios in Orlando. Hershey Park is close too mainly because it's the only one I've visited multiple times. It's solid. Six Flags Great Adventure is another good one, but the only time I've actually been to the Great Adventure part it was a field trip. Didn't get to go on as many rides as I would have liked because of that. I've been to Hurricane Harbor a couple times though.

Yeah, it's partly my opinion because it didn't really crack my top three there even when it was new. I remember when Dragster was new and how long the wait was, so suspect was a little unfair of me, it definitely was front and center. It broke down repeatedly the day I was there, ugh, probably wasted 2 hours in that line before we left (got it later in the day).

Definitely check out Cedar Point again though, a lot has changed!

KDK still holds the record for tallest coaster. The fastest goes to Formula Rossa at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, clocking in at 149.1 MPH.

Disney is my hands down favorite - no other park does such an outstanding job of transporting you to a different world and lets you just get lost. It's really interesting. Plus I grew up near Disneyland so

It's a bit of a drive though.
