Being a whale does effect others in these games. If people are willing to plop tens of thousands of dollars then these companies will continue with shitty gacha type games.

If whales had an ounce of self control or common sense it would force them to create a different model. Perhaps one where you actually pay a flat price and have the option to get all the content you want or should have.

I played FEH from launch until last October. I quit the game after I spent $60 on it in a sitting without getting the unit I wanted or anything particularly good.

The realization that I spent the cost of a full-priced game on basically nothing was enough to make me realize the game was bullshit. Never played it again.
